Francisco Narvaez Chief Executive Officer

Francisco Narvaez is the Chief Executive Officer of Valor Advisors LLC. In his role as CEO, Francisco is responsible for formulating the strategy and values of the firm as well as acting as a member of the Investment Committee. Before founding Valor Advisors, Francisco worked for 17 years at J.P. Morgan Chase in New York, London and Miami. He started his JPMorgan career in New York in the Latin America Investment Bank as an Analyst in the Power, Oil & Gas team. Throughout those years, he advised American and European companies in many successful transactions during the privatization phase of the utility sector in Latin America.

In 2000, Francisco relocated to London where he worked in the Investment Bank covering the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology sectors in Europe. In 2002, based in London, Francisco started his Private Banking Career as the Senior Capital Advisor for EMEA. In this role, Francisco worked with some of the most important families in the region helping on the right-side of the balance sheet, working closely with the structuring, optimization and sizing of financing solutions for their business and family needs. During this time, Francisco was recognized as a Founding Member of the J.P. Morgan Private Bank Advisory Council.

In 2006, Francisco returned to the US as a senior Banker for Andes, Central America and the Caribbean based in Miami. Francisco was responsible for leading an interdisciplinary team of professionals to holistically advise Ultra-high net worth families in the region.

In 2010, Francisco was promoted to Managing Director and relocated to New York as a team leader for the Andes, Central America and the Caribbean region.

In 2012, Francisco returned to Miami where he took the leadership of the Latin America Private Bank office as its senior executive and Branch Manager from a regulatory perspective. Gonzalo Mendoza Chief Financial Officer

Gonzalo Mendoza is a founding partner of Valor Advisors and its Chief Financial Officer. In addition to his responsibilities as CFO, he sits in the firm’s Investment Committee and co-leads the global strategy for Valor Advisors. Prior to founding Valor Advisors, Gonzalo worked at J.P. Morgan for over eight years. He joined J.P. Morgan in New York working with the Investment Bank in the Mergers and Acquisitions Advisory group for Latin America. During his tenure in the M&A group from 2005 to 2009, Gonzalo worked on a number of M&A and Equity raising transactions in the consumer products, power and energy sectors. He spent his last two years solely focused in the Oil and Gas sector, advising on numerous transactions and clients across Latin America.

In March of 2009, Gonzalo joined J.P. Morgan’s Private Bank working as a Banker covering clients in the Andean region. He spent 5 years managing one of the most important books of business in Peru, Ecuador and Venezuela for ultra-high net worth individuals as Executive Director for J.P. Morgan.

Before joining J.P. Morgan, he worked for over three years at CANTV, Venezuela’s largest telecommunications company in its business consulting department.

Francisco Secada Chief Investment Officer

Francisco Secada is the Chief Investment Officer of Valor Advisors LLC. As CIO, Francisco leads Valor’s Investment Committee and is responsible for defining the strategy and tactical positioning for all discretionary and non discretionary accounts. Before founding Valor Advisors, Francisco was an Executive Director at JP Morgan Private Bank managing money for some of the bank’s most sophisticated and institutional-scale relationships in the Andean region. In addition, Francisco was member of the Opportunistic Investment Committee of JP Morgan, where he actively participated in the generation of tactical ideas for clients globally.

Between 2001 and 2006, Francisco worked in Citigroup Peru as a sovereign debt trader and corporate finance analyst. As a trader, Francisco co-managed the bank’s balance sheet and the proprietary investments in local currency. He represented Citigroup as Market Maker before the Peruvian Finance Ministry, actively collaborating in the development of the local government debt markets.

Francisco holds a Bachelor in Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad de Lima where he graduated cum laude and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He lives in Miami with his wife and 5 children.
